About Ariel
Photography is my business.Tell me about your business.Successful commercial photography starts with understanding what your business needs those images to do.
I'm Ariel, the photographer behind Thrive Visuals. For 13+ years, I've been learning what makes a photograph work. But business photography asks for more than technical skill and a good eye. I want to understand the business those photographs have to work for.
That means looking at what you already have, how you show up online, what your customers need to see and what might be missing before deciding what we should photograph.

Business photography
Business photography isn't just another kind of session.
Photographing a business asks for a different kind of thinking. I'm not only considering whether a photograph looks good. I'm thinking about what it communicates, where it's going to be used, how it fits with everything around it and whether it actually feels like the business it represents.
That's why Thrive Visuals is built around businesses. This isn't one category on a long photography menu. I have the time to learn what you do, look at how you're already showing up and think about what your photography needs to accomplish before I start deciding what photographs we should make.
Because a beautiful photograph can still be the wrong photograph for your business.
Photographic style + visual identity
Your photographer's style becomes part of your brand.
Bright and clean. Dark and dramatic. Warm and muted. High contrast. True-to-life color. None of those are automatically right or wrong. But once those photographs are on your website, social media and marketing, those choices start saying something about your business.
That's something I think about before I photograph you.
My natural editing style leans true-to-life, but I don't believe every business should be photographed or edited exactly the same way. I look at the visual identity you already have, the imagery you're drawn to, your website and social presence, and the way you want your business to feel.
Sometimes that means cleaner and brighter. Sometimes it needs more contrast. Sometimes it should feel polished and traditional, and sometimes we can push things in a more creative direction.
Your business already has its own visual identity. My job isn't to replace it with mine. It's to create photography that works with it.
Photography experience
Knowing what we need is only half of it.
I've been behind a camera professionally for 13+ years. That experience shows up in ways you might not necessarily notice during a session: knowing how to work with different lighting, recognizing when something isn't working, helping someone who feels awkward in front of the camera, adjusting quickly when the plan changes, and knowing when to stop directing and let something real happen.
I plan enough to make sure we get what your business needs, but I don't want to photograph from a checklist with blinders on.
Sometimes the photograph we planned is exactly the one we needed. Sometimes something better happens while you're working, talking to a client, reaching for a tool or laughing between the photographs we were trying to make.
Strategy tells me what we're looking for. Experience helps me recognize it when it's there.

A little more about me
Creativity doesn't really stay in one lane around here.
I am one of those people who wants to know why something works. And once I get curious about something, there's a pretty good chance I'm going to go down a rabbit hole figuring it out. That's true with photography, business, marketing, lighting, some random creative idea I saw and decided I absolutely need to learn... you get the idea.
I also own The Sparkling Grotto, which probably explains the amount of glitter in my life. I have a daughter, and competitive cheer is a pretty big part of her world, so we're frequently traveling somewhere for cheer. At home, we've got four cats and a dog, which means there's almost always some level of chaos happening.
Coffee is a necessity. Sparkles are completely appropriate for adults. I'm actually a mermaid, and I have the scales to prove it.
I take my work seriously, but I don't think working together needs to feel serious all the time. We can have a plan, know exactly what we're trying to accomplish and still laugh through half the session.
Evolution to Thrive
Thrive Visuals didn't start from scratch.
I started my photography business in 2012 as Ariel Lynn Photography. For the first couple of years, I photographed a little bit of everything. Then I found the work I really loved and spent most of the years that followed specializing in seniors and teens.
Eventually, the direction started changing again. I became more interested in photographing businesses, and I realized there was a whole different kind of problem-solving involved.
Thrive Visuals grew out of that shift.
The direction changed.
The experience kept growing.
Today, I get to bring 13+ years of photography experience into work that's also incredibly well suited to the way my brain works: understanding businesses, figuring out problems and creating photographs with a reason behind them.

Client perspective
In their own words.
I loved having my pictures taken and promoting my business. Normally, I don't like being the center of attention, but I had a wonderful time laughing and smiling! Ariel is wonderful to work with and I loved my personal branding photoshoot! The Cutting Edge
Enough about me. Let's talk about your business.
Tell me what's going on, what you're trying to show people or what feels like it's missing. You don't need to have the photography figured out first. That's part of what I can help with.
